Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to perform full maintenance and repair services on our construction fleet. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting field operations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and preventative maintenance programs in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on:
  • Heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Construction equipment (e.g., loaders, excavators, skid steers, rollers, etc.)
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues
  • Complete repairs on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, drivetrains, and hydraulics
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure fleet compliance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Identify potential mechanical issues before failure and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
  • Support emergency or breakdown repairs as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician (preferred)
  • or equivalent heavy equipment / fleet mechanic experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license (AZ/DZ considered an asset)
  • Own tools (company provides specialty tools and equipment)
  • Strong commitment to safety and workmanship quality
